Job description
The Role:
To develop the regional and local business in a set geographic area (Scotland) predominantly through the careful ongoing management, retention and growth of the existing customer base and through proactive new business acquisition. This is a hybrid account management/new business role and requires skill sets and disciplines to serve both. Candidates should ideally live within the central belt of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve targets within your assigned region.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sales efforts with company goals.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance and pipeline activity to senior management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales management, with a focus on business development.
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel within your assigned region.
- Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
